I never leave reviews but this place was awful. I booked and paid for two rooms and only got one. No one was there to help and no one answered emails or phone calls. Five of us had to stay in one room

First off, this is a great location for tourists. We rented unit 3H, the two bedroom with the balcony with amazing views. There are some negatives.: 1. The unit stinks of sewage. I know it’s coming from the bathrooms and kitchen from old plumbing. This is a no smoking building, but a cigarette smell would be an improvement over sewage. I’ve plug all sinks , tubs, and bidets and added water to seal the drains from sewer gases. Some stoppers don’t work so need to get some plastic bags to fill with water to try and seal the drain. It seriously is pretty disgusting smelling and not at all appetizing to want to eat in the unit. 2. The unit is kind of grungy and could use fresh paint, fresh grout in the bathrooms, a deep cleaning, mold destroyer, and some decor. I’m not confident the room was cleaned well from the previous occupants. I wiped something off the bathroom counter with a piece of toilet paper and a bit of water and it came off easily. There was hair on the bathroom floor. There’s some gross wads of wet paper towels that were left on the balcony. Some of the drinking glasses did not seem well cleaned. 3. Specifically asked if the building has a lift, but apparently my question wasn’t specific enough. I should have asked if it has a WORKING elevator. It’s not working. 4. Description stated beds have foam tops, but if there are foam tops, they are only 1 cm thick since I clearly feel the mattress springs. We’re on night 2 of a 20 night stay. Might need to see about finding another place to stay because the smell really is that bad. It’s unfortunate that this old palace is really showing its age.

We stayed in an amazing room here with just as amazing views from our windows. Such a nice treat while visiting Lisbon. Yes they are a bit pricey but well worth it. Very close to great sites and restaurants and night life. Some would say that it could get quite noisy (especially on the weekends) but you do get the whole Lisbon experience this way. Would recommend.

In an excellent location, this apartment has everything to be outstanding, but does not quite manage it! It would be so easy... Two good bedrooms and two good bathrooms, but one of the bedrooms has no furniture at all, except for the beds and bedside tables! Pity, because there is enough room! All one can do is put the suitcases on the floor...not very nice! The main bathroom is fine, but the lighting is very poor and apparently the problem cannot be fixed. We had requested a cot, but had to call the ‘virtual reception’ to have one provided. When it came, the bedding consisted of a big sheet wrapped several times around the mattress, but no waterproof layer! Just as well we had brought something ourselves! Don’t they know that babies are not 100% waterproof? The kitchen too had very poor lighting and a bare minimum as regards amenities. Two small IDENTICAL containers with sugar and salt were certainly not a good idea! Only two placemats and very little else! The place is certainly reasonably clean and spacious, with tasteful, if bare, decor. The apartment was serviced quite well, but I could have done without the torn towels and the scuffed doors. Table and chairs available on the large, beautiful terrace with fantastic views! There is a multitude of shops around, so you can easily buy what you need.

Fantastic accommodation right in the heart of the city, had a huge apartment that was for 6 people there was only 4 of us so was perfect . Clean and spacious and change of towels everyday if you leave the little sign on the door. We had upstairs bedroom with river view so awesome only thing we could have done with was a second bathroom for the upstairs bedroom a long way to come down at night to go to the toilet otherwise I’m going back again to same apartments,. Can get noisy at night but just like central London it’s what you would expect in a city, I loved the noise😂😂 I am going back in June to the beach 🏖 near Lisbon we loved that to, Costa de Caparica if you visit Lisbon do take the ferry ride over to there it’s awesome .
